Strategically using images as part of your SEO strategy can help improve your search rank.
Using images in a Search Engine Optimization (SEO)-friendly way is a great way to see your search rank increase combined with sending your marketing message. When you’re looking at your website’s structure and design layout, there is a strategic method to use these images in order to attain improved SEO. Here is a quick example of what we mean:
For example, let’s say that you run a website that sells used cars and you’d like to have a specific page optimized for the search term “Orlando used cars”. Let’s say that you also want to integrate a marketing message like “Make a down payment now and save 15%!” in order to persuade people. This tagline sounds convincing and fairly persuasive to a prospective buyer, however it doesn’t contain very descriptive text. An alternative to this is to place a tagline in an image on your page along with the key phrase (in this case, “Orlando used cars”) written in the header tag. What this does is it puts an emphasis on the term that’s targeted but it still offers marketing opportunity without giving up the consistency of keywords.
Images are a fantastic place to include marketing messages that do not have the required keywords and/or phrases. Descriptive text will be indexed using this technique and decreased marketing lines will be overlooked.
