Does Your Business Give the “Green Light”?

What’s up everybody, it’s Chris! I’m here at the airport getting ready to head to Las Vegas to speak at Carl White’s event – “The 3 Day Mastermind”.

I wanted to show you something that is super new and funky at The Pearson Airport here in Toronto.

I’m not sure if you can see them behind me, but those red lights on the ceiling are brand new. The airport has installed them on each level to indicate where there are parking spots available.

That green light down there means there’s an available spot.

Finding parking when you come to the airport is a big deal because it is usually such a hassle.

This system makes it super fast and super easy to find a spot, which is super helpful when you are also worried about juggling baggage and thinking about getting through airport security, etc.

Digital Marketing Tips

Today’s tip is about your mortgage business.

When somebody is interested in getting a mortgage, how easy is it to find you?

Do you have a big green light so that people can find your service over somebody else’s?

Or are they stuck driving around in circles not knowing whose services they should use?

The recommendation today is that you should be on Google.

When people decide that they need a mortgage lender or broker, Google is the first place they look to for help finding the right one. You want to make sure that is the first place they can find you.

A pretty simple way to do that is to set up your Google My Business page.

It is free to sign up for and in terms of keeping with our analogy, it gives your potential customers the green light to reach out to you and get the help they need.

Once you have your Google My Business page set up, the next step is to start building up as many 5-star reviews as possible!

That makes you the best looking parking spot!

From this point on, you should be making sure your clients are leaving their stellar reviews directly on your Google My Business page.

Our team actually has the ability to create custom review links for you that will help you send your clients directly to the right page, with the review box already opened for them. We have found that the easier we make it for your clients to leave a review, the more likely they are to do so!

Ranking organically is the most sure-fire way to go out and get customers, but it’s no longer the only option!

Google has launched a new feature that allows you to use an advertisement to essentially get your local business ranked on the front page overnight.

As a paying Google Ads customer, you can advertise directly in the 3-pack – making it a 4-pack.

Your placement will still be marked as an advertisement, though, so it definitely doesn’t completely replace the need for organic rankings, but it can definitely help you out while you are working to get ranked, or if you have some tougher competition in your local area.
